Do I need planning permission for solar panels?
Most domestic rooftop solar installations in Scotland fall under permitted development and don’t need planning permission, though listed buildings and conservation areas may have restrictions. We’ll confirm this during your survey.
How long does installation take?
A standard domestic solar and battery installation is usually completed in one day.
Can I add a battery to my existing solar panels?
Yes — if you already have solar panels, we can assess your system and add compatible battery storage.
Will solar work with my EV charger or heat pump?
Yes, and combining them can significantly increase your savings and, in some cases, your funding eligibility. Ask us about bundled installations.
What maintenance does a solar and battery system need?
Very little — an occasional visual check and keeping panels clear of heavy debris is usually enough. We’re happy to advise on maintenance during your consultation.
Is there a new government loan scheme for solar panels?
